My 10 month old has his two bottom teeth and his four on top. Since his front top teeth have come down all the way he has been grinding his teeth together. He doesn%26#039;t do this all of the time, but he does do it. Is this normal?
Grinding teeth?
My doctor said it wasn%26#039;t normal when my son started doin it. We found out that he had a nervous problem. He 2 now and he still grinds his theeth when he can%26#039;t do something. He said I should be worried that he may grind his theeth down. You should ask your doctor they may want to ask you questions that you never noticed before about you son. GOOD LUCK
Reply:yea its normal... next time you go to a check up just let your doctor know about it
Reply:Yes, our dentist said this is normal until they lose their baby teeth. My six year old still does it and she%26#039;s lost 4 baby teeth. Our 4 year old does it too. My hubby said I was doing last night...but don%26#039;t normally.
Reply:Yes it is normal my son does do it and they say it is just a small habit and it cant do and damage. IT will go away dont worry.
Reply:I have 6 kids, this is totally normal hon! Gratz on the baby! Bet he is beautiful!
Reply:yes it is normal. My daughter still does it and she is six. Her dentist said she will grow out of it. But I agree, you should still let the doc know.
Reply:Yes it%26#039;s normal. There is something new in the mouth that they are not use to. They usually out grow it. Just inform your Dr. If it continues into school age you will want to watch to make sure that no teeth get broken or grounded down. It%26#039;s an easy trip to the dentist office to check. Good Luck!
Reply:yes,it sounds like he is just teething get him a chewy toy and that should solve your problem, and it will streagthen his jaw.
Reply:Yes it is normal. My 2 oldest sons did this. They finally stopped at about 1yr old. I know it is annoying but kids like to do this for some reason. Good luck and congrats on your little one.
