Grinding teeth....?

My son is 10 months old, he has two teeth on bottom and just got four (all at the same time!) on bottom. He has been grinding his teeth together, and it sounds awful to me. Should I be concerned, or is this something that he%26#039;ll stop doing on his own?

Grinding teeth....?
this will stop eventually, he is getting accustomed to the teeth, and they are probably really bothering him, have him chew on cold things, popcicles, or frozen toys for toddlers... they might help
Reply:This is a very serious issue, take him to the vet.
Reply:he%26#039;ll stop eventually
Reply:Wat is grinding teeth? gabriel you sounded to em liek u were joking.. vet? isnt your son a human miss?
Reply:He will stop this on his own. He will go through cycles of doing and not. My five year old does it, my seven year old just stopped. It does sound awful. I asked my pediatrician about it and my dentist, they both said that unless it starts to wear the teeth down, it will be fine. Good luck.
Reply:it%26#039;s serious. teethgrinding can last for life. i have been grinding my teeth for over 20 years and it wears your teeth away, freaks out people that are sleeping by you and causes tension in your jaw muscles. if you try to break his habits while he is young he might be able to avoid a lifetime of teeth problems....
Reply:I don%26#039;t think that you should be to concerned, my youngest sister grinded her teeth when she was small and my mom told her simply to quit. But since your son is so young, you might want to bring him to the doctor just to see what to do.
Reply:be concern and stop him cause my little brother used to do that Now hes all grow up with little teeth.
Reply:Your sons is experience of teeth growing problem. During this stage his teeth and gum will feel a litter bit itch. Give him some soft toy to bite. It is a normal thing for the child. Dont Worry
Reply:you need a jel teether to give to him to chew on so his teeth can break through his gums.
Reply:check out this article

he is probably grinding his teeth because of the pain - from all the teeth coming in at once and because all of a sudden he has these new things in his mouth - he is most likely exploring and learning about this new stuff in his mouth

Reply:Both of my boys did this at the same age. My husband was actually telling my 11 month old son tonight to stop doing it, lol. I think it%26#039;s a phase they go through...a very short lived one, thankfully!
Reply:he just found his teeth, that%26#039;s all...he%26#039;ll stop when he gets tired of doing it...if not, then the dentist can give him a guard or something...
Reply:I spoke to our dentist about this issue. Did you ever notice how babies eye teeth are really sharp when they come in but most of us do not have sharp eye teeth as adults? The dentist told me all children grind their teeth (some more than others) it is natures way of filing them down and getting the bite right. My middle son has very sharp eye teeth at age 5 because his bite isn%26#039;t alligned correctly and the grinding doesn%26#039;t help .... probably looking at braces in the future. Any way .... the grinding is normal and he will just stop it on his own as he gets older.
Reply:You can always take him to a dentist. As soon as kids start having teeth, they can go to a pediatric dentist - ask him/her
Reply:I would try to stop him I can%26#039;t give you any suggestions how because I didn%26#039;t have this problem but I do know it can mess up his teeth and he may never stop and will mess up his adult teeth. I would take him to the dentist you are suppose to take them when they get their first tooth so they can make sure they are growing in right take him to the dentist and see if they have any suggestions if not take him to the doctors. good luck
Reply:My son is almost 10 months old and he has 8 teeth. (Has had since he was barely 5 months old!) He is definately a teeth grinder as well. I asked his pediatrician about it and she says just to keep an eye out to make sure he isn%26#039;t breaking his teeth. When I catch him doing it, I just pop my finger into his mouth so he stops. After doing it for awhile, he%26#039;s gotten to where he barely grinds. As a matter of fact, now that I think of it, he hasn%26#039;t done it in about 3 or 4 days!
Reply:i my self and most of my family members grind our teeth no big thing , but there is a brace like thing that you sleep with that supposibly helps but i think he%26#039;s too young every once in a while my jaw makes a popping sound no pain ,hasn%26#039;t wore my teeth down at all .nothing to be concerned about .
